Mr. Asefi, our ambassador in East Germany, came and gave a report on the negotiations and preparations for my trip to Germany. [Mr. Gholamreza Shafi] Minister of Industries also came and reported his negotiations with the East German delegation. Then the delegation [of this country] came and invited the Speaker of the East German Parliament and we discussed the development of relations.
Colonel [Mohammad Hossein] Jalali, the candidate for the Ministry of Defense, came and promised support and gave a report on the status of the helicopters. In the evening, the representative came to Behshahr and told about the problem of disagreement with Imam Juma. Khorramshahr's representative also came and talked about the problems of war refugees and asked for help for the expenses of Khorramshahr's Friday imam.
Mr. Dr. Kaleem Siddiqui, the head of the Islamic Institute in London, came along with the editor of the Crescent-International newspaper in Canada. I discussed about the introduction of Islamic revolution in Iran. They emphasized the activation of the young revolutionary clerics of Iran and the establishment of relations with the Muslim clerics of other countries.
Mr. Mahfozi, the representative of Ayatollah Montazeri, came to Tehran University and expressed his concern about the influence of liberalism and non-committals in universities. I told them that the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution is paying attention and will not allow non-Islamic rule to occur in the university environment. Before this, a group of Tabriz University students came and raised the same issue, and I reassured them by referring to the council's decisions and told them to be careful about the movement of non-Islamic people in the university.
I worked in my office until nine o'clock at night. I greeted Mr. [Mohammed Mehdi] Rabbani Amlashi. They said that they got sick and were taken to the hospital again. I came home at night. I talked with the Prime Minister and the President about speeding up the introduction of the Ministers of Road [and Transportation], Defense and Program [and Budget].
