I was at home until night and I did all the backlogs that were brought. I told Nazaja [= army ground force] to take over the Zuhd area line from the IRGC. Mr. Ahmad came and I explained the situation on the front to the Imam and the plan to merge the army and the IRGC, which he also agreed with. It was decided to tell the generals to the Imam, and if they agree, an official proposal will be made.
Iftar, the children were guests and I was alone. Mr. Mohsen Rezaei and [Mohammed] Faruzandeh came to discuss the merger plan. They find the main part of it problematic, but they agree with announcing part of it, which is the first step. I slept from twelve o'clock at night until two thirty in the morning.
