In the evening, the central council of the [Islamic Republic] party had a meeting. Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei reported the talks with the Imam. The summary was that the imams do not have a favorable opinion with the principle of the party, and their opinion is that clerics should not be in the party, but they did not forbid, but they categorically forbade Friday imams from joining the party. They do not oppose the dissolution of the party, but they did not order it.
During the entire meeting, we discussed whether to keep or dissolve the party. Finally, it was decided to discuss in other meetings.
