I slept very little at night. Yasser had gone to Imam's shrine for the revival ceremony and came near morning. After the morning prayer, I slept until half past ten. It has been raining and snowing intermittently since last night and the weather is cold.

[Mrs. Betul Thaghafi], wife of Imam came to visit Eft; I talked and greeted them for a while. They decided to go on a trip to Kish with modesty.

Mr. [Jamal] Sadatian filed a complaint by Yasser that the executive board rejected him. Mr. [Mahdi] Karroubi, [Chairman of the Islamic Council], said on the phone that a group of representatives whose qualifications have been rejected have gathered and are asking for help. I told them to talk to Mr. [Abdullah] Nouri, [the country's minister]. If necessary, I will visit them tomorrow.

Mr. [Mohammad Hasan] Tolayi, the governor of Khuzestan, called and said that the Ministry of Interior plans to dismiss Governor Behbahan because of the disqualification of Mr. [Noorullah] Abedi, the current representative, and if that happens, he plans to resign as well. I said, don't resign, I will handle it. The Ministry of Interior is under pressure; He regrets that he gave a privilege to the Guardian Council during the formation of the executive boards, although the Guardian Council does not consider it a privilege and considers it its right.

Iftar Saeed, Fati and the children came. They have returned from former Soviet Azerbaijan. They told a little about their poverty and backwardness and their problems, about the interest and hope of the people there, and about Turkey's propaganda mischief, regarding the slander of Iran's aid to Armenia, which is a complete lie. At night, Efat had a women's party, and I spent most of my time in the upper room praying and listening to the radio and went to bed early.
