Mr. [Syed Mehdi] Imam Jamarani, [Head of the Awqaf Organization] and [Mohammed Ali] Nizamzadeh came. They gave a report on endowments, incomes, expenses and works and asked for help for mosques. [Mr. Imam Jamarani] requested that we try not to remove any individuals from the Guardian Council. For some, such as Mr. [Syed Ali Akbar] Mohtashmi, they are worried. He complained to some of his friends in the Council of Fighting Clergymen that they are trying to include some harsh people in the list.

Engineer [Serajuddin] Kazrouni, [Minister of Housing and Urban Development] came. He introduced an area in the east of Tehran for the diplomatic neighborhood, which I liked. He gave a work report on the project around Astana Qom and Islamabad Karaj and the house building program in Tehran.

Dr. Malekzadeh, [Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education] and [Mehdi] Karbasian, [CEO of the Social Security Organization] came. They gave a report on the status of social security and asked for help to take over the welfare bank and amend the statutes and said that they have a plan to develop investment and increase pensioners' income. Doctor [Hadi] Manafi came. He gave the report of the trip to the south of the Persian Gulf and applied for credits and the establishment of the Faculty of Environment.

In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government. Mr. [Akbar] Turkan, [Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support], informed that we have evacuated the first ship in Bandar Abbas and the second ship will arrive in Chabahar tonight, and the Americans are very upset and want to justify their action.

I came home before breaking the fast. The weather is very cold. The streets were deserted. The children were also breaking their fast here.
