We woke up at half past six in the morning. They informed that several more Iraqi missiles have hit Tehran from last night until this morning. I spoke with Mr. Khamenei on the phone. They said that a total of 12 missiles landed and about 36 people were martyred and about 70 people were injured. The explosive power of the rocket is low and some of them did not work. The IRGC and the army are investigating the type, origin and characteristics of the rocket. Due to the dispute between the army and the IRGC, the investigation has been delayed.
I sent Mr. Rouhani, Mohsen and the missile group to Tehran for defense and research on missiles. Together with Mr. Shamkhani, who came from Maut region, we went to Marivan by car. The road was dirt and mountainous and full of bumps.
The water from melting snow was flowing everywhere and the rivers were overflowing. The gendarmerie had established a supply route. Crossing forested hills almost everywhere -
we did On the way, we passed Shiler plain in Iraqi territory, which was captured by us in Wal-Fajr 4 operation. Two rivers pass through that plain: Shiler River and Qazaljeh River. We passed by the residential villages of the Barzanis and Mr. Shamkhani provided useful information about the situation in the area.
After passing through Shiler valley inside Iran, we also passed through some border villages. We stopped in the village of "Sauchi" and talked with the villagers. It turned out that they had migrated at the beginning of the war and returned after Wal-Fajr 4 operation. They live through agriculture.
At around eleven o'clock, we reached the camp of Shahid Motahari by the lake [Zarivar] of Marivan. Mr. Rezaei and a group of IRGC commanders are here to guide the preparatory work of the operation. In the evening, we started discussing future operations with the IRGC commanders and continued until midnight. Commanders are optimistic about the plan.
Ahmad Agha called from Tehran and said that due to the weak explosive power of Iraq's missiles and the failure of several of them, they could not weaken the morale of the people and the people are waiting for our strong response. I said that we have ordered some rockets to be fired at Baghdad. Until further notice, three rockets will be launched daily at appropriate intervals. We got the news at twelve o'clock at night and I slept.
