After prayer, I studied until half past seven in the morning. I stayed in the public session of the parliament until half past nine. I did things in my office until two in the afternoon.

In the evening, the governor and imam of Bandar Abbas and Mr. [Abbas] Abbasi and [Gholamabas] Zairi, the representatives of Bandar Abbas, came to resolve their differences. The two sides said some issues of dispute and conflict. They did not have an important issue and it is strange that they have been fighting over the same issues in the region for years. It is mostly because of linear and band differences that such content is used as an excuse. I advised them and pointed out that the smoke of these conflicts is reaching people's eyes. They decided to go to Mr. Zairi's house and continue the negotiation. If they do not reach an agreement, I will follow up.

[Mr. Gholamreza Shafei] Minister of Industries came. We reviewed the report on the state of industries and foreign exchange needs and solutions to activate factories. It was decided to implement the resolution of the Reconstruction Council regarding the permission to import raw materials without transferring currency, to get the approval of the government, which is currently against it, to follow up and to ask the leadership to help from the position of the leadership and the presidency.

Mr. [Gholamreza] Aghazadeh [Oil Minister] came. He gave the report of the trip to Bulgaria and the memorandums of understanding. Talks were held with him about oil, gas and petrochemicals.

Mr. Taheri Khorramabadi came. He brought a message from Mr. Montazeri that they wanted to go to the Imam's house to condole the death of the Imam and asked me to be present as well.

At night, Ayatollah Khamenei came to my office. We had dinner together and until 11 o'clock at night we negotiated and made decisions about the issues of the country, economic and foreign policies, travel to the Soviet Union, etc. Fortunately, we agree on all matters. I slept late.
