Even though I had slept earlier than previous nights, I did not wake up due to neglecting to set the alarm clock, and Mehdi and I fasted without dawn. I went to the parliament before noon. Colonel [Mustafa] Turabi came and gave a report on the decisions and facilities for defense against Iraqi air attacks, which is a combination of F14 and F4 planes and Hag and Shabahang missiles, but it is still not reassuring.

The workers of the parliament came and talked about the election of the board of directors. Mr. [Sidjalil] Saidzadeh gave a report on the situation in Bakhtran city after the missile attacks, which is not good. In the evening, the Swedish ambassador came to say goodbye; But he didn't say anything. The IRGC Missile Unit came and reported that they were ready to launch a missile and complained to the Libyan officers for breaking the work. I spoke for them and recommended tolerance with the Libyan officials.

Mr. [Reza] Amrollahi [head of the Atomic Energy Organization] came and gave a report on the progress of negotiations with France in financial matters, which is not positive at all. He consulted about the enriched uranium in the Amirabad nuclear reactor with regard to the Iraqi bombings.

At night, we were guests of Mr. [Mousavi] Ardabili and we discussed about the war, Friday's march, the foundation of the underprivileged, and other issues, including the quality of dealing with the insidiousness of the Russians. I came home late. I was on my way when the red situation was announced and Iraqi planes dropped bombs on Farhang Street in Amirabad neighborhood, killing five people and injuring many others. Probably, their target was the [Atomic Energy Organization] nuclear center.
