Early in the morning, I went to Parliament. We had an open session and passed two or three bills. At noon, Mr. Mohammad Mohammadi Gorgani came and complained about Hezbollah. He is concerned that things may escalate. Mr. [Asadollah] Bayat came and was worried about the possibility of the Hojjatieh Society's influence in the IRGC. In the evening, the public relations staff [of the Islamic Consultative Assembly] came and gave explanations about their work, as well as about the office of the Imam's advisor [in the army].

The deputies of the Welfare Organization came and were trying to find a way to prevent the resignation of Dr. [Hassan] Rouhani, the Minister without Portfolio, who had recently resigned. I spoke with the President about this matter.

Until iftar, I did my administrative work and read the reports. The iftar at the Parliament was soup, eggs, butter, jam, and fruit. At night, I came home. Dr. Velayati informed me that the Germans have softened and their foreign minister has officially apologized, which was published.
