In the morning Dr. [Abbas] Shibani, [Tehran's representative] came. As usual, within two minutes, he gave remarks about Gharani and Rasht. [Mr. Mohammad Saidi Kia], the Minister of Roads and Transportation came. He gave a report on the progress of the Bandar Abbas and Bandar Imam railways and asked for support for the implementation of projects and transportation.

Mr. Elahi came. Because he knows English, he applied for a job abroad. Mr. [Mohammad Reza] Abbasi Fard, the head of the Administrative Court, came. He explained the situation in the court and asked for my help. In order to conduct the elections, he emphasized the necessity of impartiality of the officials of the Ministry of Interior.

[Mr. Kazroni], the Minister of Housing and Urban Development came with the governor of Qom. They brought the plan for reforming the shrine area [Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH)] in the city of Qom and requested for its implementation. Then the governor of Qom complained about Mr. [Ahmad] Azri [Qomi]'s objections; I advised to abstain. The Minister of Housing talked about the housing program and the high costs of the municipality and foreign investment in housing and said about the need for more personal income to support life. The salaries of the ministry are not sufficient for life and are lagging behind.

Dr. Velayati, [Minister of Foreign Affairs], informed by phone that the French delegation that came to Iran agreed with Iran's opinion. He requested to improve the ceremonial status of important foreign guests. I stayed in my office in the evening. I did the work. I did not go to the meeting of the government board and came home before the evening.
