I reached my office at half past eight in the morning. [Mr. Abdul Hossein Wahaji] Minister of Commerce came. He had some information about distribution issues and was upset about the rumor of his dismissal, which I denied. Mr. [Reza] Amrollahi [head of the Atomic Energy Organization] came; He wanted help. Although the agreement to complete the Bushehr power plant with the Spanish is not complete, he insists on starting the preparations. I said that we will start as soon as we get the confidence.

Dr. [Hasan] Rouhani [Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council] came. The plans of the Supreme National Security Council were discussed and the recent issues of the parliament and the leadership were discussed. Dr. Habibi came for current affairs of the country. Dr. Noorbakhsh [Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance] came. It is sad for currency matters. There is a lot of pressure to buy free currency, which cannot meet all demands. It seems like it wants to limit [the currency supply] somehow. There are heavy crowds and long queues to buy currency.

In the evening, the Supreme National Security Council had a meeting. They talked about issues related to the order and setting of borders with Soviet Azerbaijan. Mr. [Abdullah] Nouri expressed his displeasure that the leadership has sent a message to Mr. Siraj [Aldin Mousavi] that he is either the leader of the committee or the representative of the leadership and he said that he is resigning. He asked for help.

At night, we had a meeting with Mr. Khamenei. Ahmad Agha was supposed to be there but he did not come. We negotiated and made decisions about current issues, Mr. Montazeri's statements, parliament issues, general amnesty, the situation in Lebanon and the armed forces, etc.; It was a useful meeting. I went back to my office and did the work until 11:30 PM and slept.
