Memoirs of Akbar Hashemi – January 26, 1986

I was in the parliament at half past seven. Before the order, I talked about the conspiracy of falling oil prices. This issue has caused concern among some representatives. Some orders that came back from the Guardian Council were modified. After breathing in my office, I followed the work of the war. Dr. Rouhani came and told about the non-implementation of some orders and promises. We decided to follow up more. Aghazadeh informed that the damage to Ganaveh oil facilities is not very important. Colonel Torabi informed that one of the gathering centers of Iranian anti-revolutionary forces in Iraq was bombed.

In the afternoon Mr. Nazari from Sari scholars came. Mr. Naseri, the representative of Zanjan, complained about the decision to change the governor of Zanjan. In the evening [Mr. Hassan Habibi], the Minister of Justice came and complained about the decrease in the justice budget in the Planning and Budget Commission. All organs have flocks. They have reduced the total budget. Cheap oil will make the situation even worse. The ladies of Zainab's caravan council members came. Although it is newly established, they have found differences.

Mr. [Hadi] Khosrowshahi came and complained about the writings of Mr. Ziarati in the history of the revolution and asked for reconfirmation. Mr. [Reza] Amrollahi came from the [Atomic Energy Organization] and informed that Germany is ready to finish the construction of Bushehr power plant. I said that if it becomes serious, we will give a budget. I worked in my office until nine o'clock at night. Mr. Sanjaghi came and brought a letter from Mr. Mohsen Rezaei and said that this evening the commanders of the army and the IRGC had a meeting, they reached an agreement and they are satisfied. I came home at night.
