I reached my office at half past seven.  At nine o'clock in the morning [members] of the central council of leadership representatives in universities came: Mr. Mohammadi Gilani, [Ahmed] Jannati, [Abbas] Mahfovi and [Mohammed Mahdi] Abdakhodaei. They demanded support and facilities for a stronger presence in universities and the removal of the cultural powers of academic jihad from its constitution.

The industrial ministers came and said about the problems caused by the new labor law - from the financial and managerial point of view - which is in the order of the Expediency Determination Assembly; It was supposed to be presented in the assembly. [Mr. Mohammad Saeedi Kia] Minister of Roads and Transportation came and talked about the plans for roads, railways and ports. Dr. [Hasan] Rouhani [Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council] came. They talked about the programs and credibility of the Supreme National Security Council.

In the evening, Mr. [Amin] Biank, the representative of Ahvaz, came. He asked for support for the affairs of the province and said about [Mr. Mohsen Mirdamadi] the governor of [Khuzestan]. Mr. [Mohyeddin] Fazel Harandi [head of the agricultural commission] came. The service report of the seven-member committee said that the land was handed over and asked for currency for the pump motors. Messrs. [Hasan] Habibi, [Masoud Roghani] Zanjani and [Mohsen] Nurbakhsh came. They explained and approved the amendments in the 1369 budget.

In the evening, the Expediency Council had a meeting. Mr. [Hossein] Mahluji, [Hadi] Nejad Hosseinian, [Mohammed Reza] Nematzadeh and [Syedmansour] Razavi said in the order about the disadvantages of the labor law. Mr. [Hossein] Kamali, Minister of Labor, defended. They had dinner and left. Mr. [Syed Mohammad Mousavi] Khoiniha applied for facilities for the [Presidential Strategic] Research Center and Mr. [Hassan] Sanei for the goods of the 15 Khordad foundation.
