I was at home until half past ten in the morning. Mr. Mahdavi Kony requested by phone that the funeral of the martyrs of yesterday's downed plane be held tomorrow. They were supposed to be buried today after Friday prayers. I accepted On the phone, I told Ahmad Agha to ask the Imam whether he agrees with our participation in the [UN] Security Council or not. Imam replied that they disagree.

In the Friday prayer, I talked about the effects and importance of Wal-Fajr operation. People's feelings are very good. Mr. [Hasan] Rouhani informed that five enemy planes were shot down today. Mr. [Mansour] Sattari, one of the literate and experienced officers of the country's air force, manages the air defense in the region very well.

Asr Ahmad Agha came and consulted about appointing Imam's representative in the army instead of Mr. Mahalati. I said that the army commanders should not fight now, because it will have a bad effect in the war. Mr. [Mohsen] Rafiq Dost spoke on the phone. They are worried about future attacks. Some relatives came to visit and work. The issue of the crash of our passenger plane has a wide reflection in the reports.
