Memoirs of Akbar Hashemi – February 10, 1985

I was at home all day. Parliament is closed. I spent most of my time studying. Before noon, Mr. [Syed Mohammad] Mousavi Khoiniha came; We discussed about writing the biography of Imams. Before the revolution, we collaborated with him and another group to write a complete and comprehensive history of Imams, which has been stopped for years. Recently, the [Islamic] Propaganda Office of Qom continues the work using plans and notes, and they have asked me to lead as before; We also talked about the work of "Key to the Qur'an" and current issues.

Ahmad Agha informed that the Guardian Council contacted the Imam through Mr. [Hashem] Rasouli [Mahlati] regarding their objection to the referral to arbitration. The Imam said that if you want to deal like this, it is better to order Iran and the revolution to cut themselves off from the rest of the world. It seems that this opinion will be expensive for the Guardian Council.

In the evening, Ahmad Agha came and said that Mr. [Mousavi] Ardabili has again raised the issue of stepping down and taking responsibility for Haj Seyed Azizullah mosque. Two or three nights ago, they raised [this issue]; They seem to be tired.

Today, the Imam's Pardon Board met with the Imam and the Imam forbade them from pardoning the groups and said that the Imam himself should investigate [about them] through the Ministry of Information before signing the pardon list.
