I reached my office at half past eight in the morning. Mr. [Mortaza] Mirbaghri, [Secretary of the Supreme Youth Council] came. He gave a report on the formation of the commissions of the Supreme Council of Youth and asked for the budget and position.

Mr. [Hossein] Fouladi came from the Azadi movement. He expressed his sincerity and opposition to the nationalists and expressed concern about extreme and strict policies. I presented the correct way of Islam with explanations. He asked for a job for his son.

Mr. [Mohsen] Noorbakhsh, [Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance] and [Masoud Roghani] Zanjani, [Head of the Program and Budget Organization], came to complete the 2012 budget. It was decided to go to parliament without budget deduction and with changes in resources.

Mr. [Mahmoud] Mohammadi Iraqi came. He asked for help to increase the budget of the Islamic Propaganda Organization. Mr. [Syed Hadi] Khosrowshahi came. As usual, he brought some of the Arab publications that wrote about me and asked that he be assigned a mission abroad. Mr. [Mahmoud] Boroujerdi, the Imam's son-in-law, came. He used to ask time for the big encyclopedia, but recently he withdrew. Miscellaneous talks were held.

In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government board. It was decided to remove the subsidies of the agriculture sector and give cheap loans and facilities instead and guaranteed purchase of its products at a reasonable price. In the reports, the conflict between the Shiite Islamic Unity Party in Afghanistan and the government's military and General [Abdul Rashid] Dostum's support for the Shia are worthy of attention.
