Full diary text:

It was supposed to be that the Infrastructure Commission [of the Expediency Discernment Council] would have a meeting, but it did not reach the required quorum and was not formed. The Moderation and Development Party was waiting to receive the news of the commission's decisions and publish it in the first issue of its newly established newspaper. I said if they insist on publishing such news, they should take the decisions of the previous meeting.

In the afternoon, Mr. [Abbas Ali] Alizadeh, the head of Tehran's judiciary, came. He said he had told Mr. Ahmadzadeh, the head of the Economic Corruption Judicial Complex, to step aside due to incompatibilities, and said that Naser [Vaez] Tabasi had gone to the investigator for two or three sessions and given explanations and the investigation is ongoing, and there is a need for Mr. Tabasi's own response; for things attributed to him and Mr. [Ali] Karimi[Qodosi], his deputy, has given a brief answer.

Mr. [Mehdi] Karroubi, [Speaker of the Parliament], in the meeting of the heads [of power], as a protest to Mr. [Seyyed Mahmoud Hashemi] Shahroudi, [Head of the Judiciary], asked why the case of Naser Tabasi is not being pursued? And Mr. [Ali] Younesi, [Minister of Intelligence], has said in that meeting that pursuing cases like Mr. [Bijan Namdar] Zanganeh, [Minister of Oil], based on the reports of [the Ministry of] Intelligence and [the Organization of] Inspection [of the country], is not legitimate, because they are not trustworthy, which surprised the attendees, and Mr. Zanganeh, after one appearance in Mr. Alizadeh's office, has requested a twenty-day period to study the case.
