A group of representatives objected to Mr. Yazdi's voting method and claimed that he had a vote, but impartiality was not respected.

In the evening, I went to Tehran University and gave a lecture at the seminar [on the first anniversary of the establishment] of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution in Ferdowsi Hall and came home from there.
In the evening and at night Mr. Aghazadeh [Oil Minister] called from Geneva. Asr was worried about the conspiracy to lower the price of oil, and we decided to inform Dr. Velayati in Hejaz to ask Saudi leaders to cooperate. At the end of the night, he informed that the danger has been resolved. In the afternoon, Mr. [Mohsen] Nourbakhsh [Chairman of the Central Bank] came and was worried about the possibility of Mr. Majdi being introduced as the Minister of [Economic Affairs and] Finance. He also made istikhara and it was bad, but in the evening it became clear that Mr. Majdi was accepted by Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei and he will be introduced.
In the evening Mr. Ray Shahri [Information Minister] came home and gave a report on the progress of the identification of the team that assassinated me and Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei and Mr. [Mohsen] Rezaei. It seems that a large number of Iraqi activists will be arrested soon. In the case of Mr. Seyyed Sadegh Rouhani, who opposed the deputy leadership of Ayatollah Montazeri, they have decided to pursue him in a limited manner. I said it is not advisable.
