At 7:30 in the morning, we went to visit the research center and water and electricity faculty with [Mr. Bijan Namdar Zanganeh], the minister of energy, who had come home. Managers explained. We visited the construction site of the models of water structures and several laboratories and the faculty space. In the library, they explained to the faculty and wanted it to become a university.

In the gymnasium, we participated in the student meeting. Mr. Zanganeh reported. I also spoke and explained the government's policy regarding water and electricity and applied scientific universities.

We went to my office. Mr. Zanganeh was with me. He gave explanations about the plans of the Ministry of Energy and announced that they have decided to build water supply channels for farms with a piping system instead of concrete channels.

I reached my office at noon. After the prayer, we had a meeting with Dr. [Hasan] Habibi, [First Vice President], [Mohsen] Noorbakhsh, [Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance] and [Masoud Roghani] Zanjani, [Head of the Program and Budget Organization]. They explained the state of the budget of 1372. We decided for the quality of providing resources and providing the devices.

In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government board. The discussion was about the budget. I was the guest of the leader. We discussed the news related to the destruction of Babri Masjid in India by Hindus and the war between Shia and Sunni in Afghanistan which has just started and we asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to try to solve the problem in both cases. We agreed to sell land to people in the Persian Gulf islands to encourage more people to visit the islands. We discussed the United Nations [Human Rights Commission] resolution, Sepah Bank, budget, Ahmad Agha's membership in the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and my trip to Yazd and Kish. He was very happy with the magnificent reception of the people and the loyalty of the people of Yazd.
