Mr. Fayyaz, the head of the Islamic Documents Center, came and gave a report on the state of that organization; it was interesting. He claimed that he had mastered all the secrets of that organization. (He meant the SAVAK center of the previous regime.) Mr. Kamran, the head of the Prime Minister's Office security, who had been arrested after the martyrdom of Rajaei and Bahonar because of negligence, came and defended himself, and he had convincing things to say. Mr. [Reza] Amrollahi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization, came and spoke about the Ministry of Finance's lack of cooperation in reaching an understanding with the French Eurodif company.
A group of Iraqi prisoners of war were brought for a meeting; they wanted to serve the Islamic Republic and complained that their forces had been left idle. They said that seventy percent of the prisoners were Shiites.
Messrs. Rokh-Sefat and Mousavi came and presented a report on their performance in spending the five million liras that the Revolutionary Council had allocated for Lebanon; seven deep wells and... It became clear that we still had several million liras in the Export Development Bank of Iran in Lebanon.
In the afternoon, Mr. [Ali] Fallahian came with several officials from the Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office. They asked for help in implementing their plans, establishing a camp [for addicts], and closing the borders, which I arranged by telephone. A group of members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from Iranshahr came, and I spoke to them. Late at night I came home. It was snowing. We had guests.
