In the plenary session of the parliament, the review of the plan concerning the duties and powers of the President continued. A caravan of five groups of Karbala pilgrims from Khorasan province came in front of the parliament; it was very magnificent. I spoke to them. Ayatollah Khamenei had also come. A group of veterans from Arak had come. I spoke to them as well. At noon, the country's governors came. I spoke to them and answered their questions. They were guests of the parliament for lunch.
In the afternoon, my brother Mahmoud — who is temporarily in charge of the [Iranian] embassy in Syria — came and said that an Arab businessman claimed he was ready to give Iran three billion dollars to settle Syria's debts with it. I said that usually such promises are not fulfilled.
The officials of the Jihad-e Sazandegi combat engineering came and reported the new plan. I spoke to them. At night, I stayed at the parliament and studied the reports. We don't have any significant issues. The fronts are also inactive today. I called Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei and said it is good for the navy to act cautiously in the Persian Gulf.
