Mr. Masih Mohajeri said that the Special [Clergy] Court had arrested [Seyyed Ziauddin] Mir-Emadi [the former Public Prosecutor of Tehran] and said that he had been told by the Supreme Leader's office not to attack [Yasser] Arafat, [the head of the Palestinian Authority], under these circumstances.

The headquarters for the commemoration of Fazelin Naraghi [Mullah Mahdi and Mullah Ahmad] came. They reported on their works and the restoration of their works and asked me to go to Qom to inaugurate the congress.

 Mr. Masih Mohajeri, [the editor-in-chief of the Jomhuri Eslami newspaper], came and said that the Special [Clergy] Court had arrested Mr. [Seyyed Ziauddin] Mir Emadi [former Public Prosecutor of Tehran] and that he had used his income to help Mr. [Ali Akbar] Nategh Nouri, Mr. Mohammad Ali Abtahi, Mr. and Mrs. Karroubi, [Hassan] Mokhtari, the former representative of Najafabad, and [Seyyed Ali] Ghayuri, [the head of the Baqiyat al-Salihat Charity]. He said that he had been told by the Supreme Leader's office not to attack [Yasser] Arafat, [the head of the Palestinian Authority], under these circumstancesd. He criticized the appointment of Mr. [Mohammad-Reza] Bahonar and Mr. [Gholamali] Haddad Adel as members of the Expediency Council, and criticized the Ministry of Intelligence for making unnecessary cases and ignoring [ignorance]. Mr. [Bijan Namdar] Zanganeh, [Minister of Oil], repeatedly recalled the abuses of Mir Emadi, along with a man named [Homayoun] Ansari [Shirazi], who had previously been abused in the deal of Austrian cannons.  
In the evening, a group of university professors came. They gave interviews about the parties and issues of the day. I have presented analyses of the situation of the parties in the world and in Iran and the impasse in the Palestinian question.  

[U.S. Secretary of State Colin] Powell went to Lebanon and Syria today, and this is the guess, to contain Hezbollah and Israel's northern borders. It was reported that [Yasser] Arafat told Powell that he would not negotiate with Israel or others before Israel withdrew from the occupied territories. The scandal that Israel has committed over the issue of the massacre of the people of the Jenin camp is very serious, sometimes there is talk of 900 deaths, the destruction of 2,500 houses, and the prevention of reaching the wounded, water, electricity, food and medicine.

A Reuters correspondent who has crossed the Israeli army fence and seen the conditions in the camp has given a shocking report.Israel has reportedly deliberately allowed the reports to be published in order to intimidate other residents of the camp, in order to get them to flee Palestine again, as they did with Palestinian villages in the first year of Israel's existence, but it has caused an uncontrollable wave of hatred of Israel around the world.

In Afghanistan, another earthquake has caused destruction and killings in Panjshir and Mehrin. A Chinese airliner with 165 people on board crashed in South Korea, and only 50 people survived.
