At seven o'clock in the morning, we left our house for Qom [in order to participate in the meeting of scholars from all over the country]. At 8:30 p.m., we were at the entrance to Qom. We went directly to the place of the Society of Teachers [of Qom Seminary] and arrived on time. The scholars of the country were gathered and Mr. [Ali] Meshkini, [the head of the Assembly of Experts], welcomed him.  

At 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., I gave a speech explaining the successes of the revolution, overcoming the obstacles and overcoming the conspiracies and disturbances of arrogance, explaining the current situation and the new propaganda conspiracy to make Islam appear ineffective in managing the society and weakening the people's trust in the clergy and the misdeeds, as political and economic reforms that are a kind of cynicism of the youth about the past of the revolution and the officials.  

Remembering the first meeting of the Society of Teachers in 1964 at home, under the title of reforming the seminary,

 ‍From 10:30 to noon, we had a meeting with the directors of the Center for the Culture of the Qur'an and the Biography of the Imams of the [Islamic Propagation] Office of Qom to follow up on the work of "Tafsir al-Rahna", "Dictionary of the Qur'an", "Encyclopedia of the Qur'an", and "Encyclopedia of the Imams and Ahl al-Bayt". They brought the recently published volume 13 of Tafsir al-Rahna and said that up to volume 16 it has been sent for publication and three volumes of the Qur'anic dictionary are ready for publication. After a short rest, lunch, and prayers, I went to visit the shrine and the graves of Abu and Waldeh. Then I visited the Quran exhibition and the specialized library of Quranic sciences.

We moved towards Tehran. I got home in the evening. Today, in the media, the issue of the arrest of parliamentarians and reactions is being considered, and the Western and counter-revolutionary media are intensely busy provoking the 2nd of Khordad to take divisive actions. In an interview with Radio Azadi, Mr. Ahmad Qabel [a student of Ayatollah Montazeri] blamed the Supreme Leader and explicitly stated that the main culprit was him for his support of the Judiciary and the Guardian Council.

Tensions between Pakistan and India continue. It has been reported in the news that Israel has sent me to the secretary general of the organization.
