Full text of the newspaper:

In the morning, I went to the [Tehran] International Exhibition for the opening of the International Exhibition of Electrical Industries. I visited the exhibition for an hour.  About 400 domestic and foreign companies - from production, transmission, distribution and consumption - have participated. In the [opening] ceremony, after listening to the report and introduction of Mr. [Habibullah] Bitarf, Minister of Energy and Mr. [Syed Shamsuddin] Hosseini, in charge of [public relations] of the exhibition,  I gave a speech about the importance of electricity and the future of electricity industries and Iran's great resources and position.

I worked in my office until the evening.  Mr. [Salman] Farahmand, the head of the Qur'an Sima network, came and asked for help with their programs by teaching or interviewing.  I gave them a volume of the Qur'an culture book to make a program based on it. Mr. [Ahmed] Bloukian, the former representative of Kashmir, came with Mr. Hosseini from Khorasan artisans.  They gave a description of the important effects of the development of industries in the construction government and their weakening in the current government, and also Mr. Balukian conveyed the gratitude of the people of Kashmir for my unreserved help in establishing the Kashmir factory.  Its shares are for the general public and it has received foreign currency and riyal facilities from the government.

Mr. [Syed Mohammad] Khatami held an election rally at Shiroodi Stadium.  Some of the audience chanted negative slogans against the judiciary and Mr. [Ali] Falahian, [former Minister of Information] and condemning tyranny and the freedom of political prisoners.  Maybe they expected harsh words from Mr. Khatami.

In England, in the city of Oldham in the north of this country, there has been a conflict between white people and Asians.  In Algeria, in the northeastern region, clashes between Berbers and the police have been repeated.  In Indonesia, as the date of impeachment of the president approaches, the country is tense and the armed forces are on alert.
