  Last night, on the way home, I went to Khatam Al-Anbiya Hospital to visit Messrs. [Sadiq] Ehsanbakhsh, Imam Juma of Rasht and [Abdul Karim] Haqshenas, scholars of Tehran.  Mr. Ehsanbakhsh is in a coma and is in serious danger.  Their relatives said that during the leader's [recent] trip to Gilan, they had tiring and stressful efforts and should have rested.

  [Mr. Steenchristensen], the Swedish ambassador came.  They discussed the development of cooperation, especially in the construction of a drilling platform (ship) in the Caspian Sea, and he said that the appreciation of the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia was unexpected for the diplomats.  Hajj, when it was seen that one of your relatives participated in the party, it became a matter of surprise and analysis.

  Mr. Amir Iraqi [son of Martyr Mahdi Iraqi] came.  He expressed his concern about the political situation and said that the officials are very arrogant.  He criticized the Ministry of Science for not giving permission for the university under construction in Taleghan.  He has agreed to the associate course.  

  In the evening [Mr. Alireza Zakani, head of the Basij Student Organization, accompanied by] the officials of the Student Basij came and said that the situation in the university is better than a few months ago, and the liberals and leftists have become passive, and the supporters of Khorda II have decreased and those who are indifferent have increased, and many say that in the elections [  Presidency] do not participate and asked my opinion about the election candidates;  I didn't give a clear answer. They wanted me to explain the teachings of Islam in the language of the day and answer doubts

  Mr. Hossein Marashi, [the representative of Kerman] came. He said that the election atmosphere in the cities is cold, and Mr. [Gholam Mohsin] Karbaschi, [Secretary General of the Construction Agents Party], in the meeting of the heads of the second Khordad parties in the presence of Mr. [Syed Mohammad] Khatami, criticized Mr. Khatami sharply.  ;  Because of not paying attention to construction and not preventing his friends from spraying against me, as well as not keeping promises and not using foreign exchange facilities. He said, in an internet opinion poll, Mr. Khatami was first with 43 percent and Mr. [Ahmed] Tawakli,  Second with 37% and Mr. [Ali] Fallahian, third with 11%, but this result does not match the data of other polls.

  Last night, a court stopped Mr. [Syed Mohammad] Khatami's meeting in Shiroodi Stadium, but today the Chief Justice of [Tehran Province] canceled the court ruling.  It has become a controversial issue.  Leftists create excitement.  The judge apparently made a mistake. Dr. [Abdullah] Jasbi, [presidential election candidate] also said on the phone that he complained about the judge who collected his posters.  Dum Khordadis criticize the broad program of radio and television for the candidates to speak and say that the aim is to have nine people speak against Mr. Khatami.
