Visiting Hashemi with condolences for Sheikh Hossein Hashemian (who passed away in the past few days) at Tehran Heart Hospital.

Full Text of the Daily Entry:

Until the evening, I spent my time at home studying, resting, and exercising. I read a report about the Ideological Council of Pakistan; it has been included in the Pakistani constitution to align laws with Islam, but due to various ups and downs, it has not been effective so far. It is somewhat similar to our Guardian Council but lacks enforcement mechanisms; in fact, the constitution in Pakistan has been pending for many years.

Mohsen informed me that my cousin Sheikh Hossein Hashemian, the former representative of Rafsanjan, suffered a stroke due to a blood clot after heart surgery. In the evening, I went to the Heart Hospital to visit him. I spoke with Dr. Ghafari about his condition. There is hope for his survival, but he did not promise anything. I spoke briefly with him. He mentioned that he is experiencing inflammation and is currently in the ICU; I also visited the other patients in the ICU.

In the evening, Mr. Mohammad Isfahani, a pop singer and son of Dr. Vaezi, along with his mother and Dr. Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi, came to see me. He said he had a disagreement with his manager, who took a check worth over 100 million tomans with a forged signature to the bank and obtained an arrest warrant against him. He has been hiding for two weeks, waiting to prove in court that the signature is forged so he can go public again. He mentioned that his wife, with whom he is having disputes, is also cooperating with the manager and has filed a complaint against him for non-payment of alimony. They sought help to resolve their issues. He said that certain circles of Iranians living in America invited him to perform, but he declined. He criticized the media for not showing musical instruments in music programs. I advised him to spend some time on his medical career so that he does not forget his studies.

The foreign ministers of the G8 have approved the deployment of international peacekeeping forces to the borders of Palestine; Israel is opposed to this. In Germany, same-sex marriages have been legalized, which has also faced some opposition.
