Full Text of the Daily Record:

In the morning, we went to the [Shahid Afrasiabi Hall in the] Shiroodi Stadium for the Covenant 6 seminar; this program has been initiated since 1996 for the leisure time of the youth during the summer, typically accommodating over two million individuals each year for education and recreation. They presented a demonstration of taekwondo sports. Brigadier General [Seyyed Mohammad] Hejazi, the commander of the Basij Resistance Force, welcomed us and provided a report. I also gave a detailed speech on the importance of addressing the needs of the youth, emphasizing moderation, and the necessity to avoid rigidity and harshness, warning about the danger of youth deviation due to the imperialist agendas if we fail to pay attention.

I returned home, and the time until evening was spent studying. Last night, my sister Sediqeh visited with her son Ali and Mahdieh. Ali talked about the programs in the seminaries of Rafsanjan and Kerman and the positive impact of the Presidential Museum and the cultural complex in Rafsanjan for the public and numerous visitors.

Today, it was announced that Israel and Palestine have accepted the ceasefire proposal from the [International Fact-Finding] Committee. Israel has instructed its forces to withdraw, and the Palestinian people protested against it; however, due to some confrontations, Israel has issued a halt to the withdrawal order, raising serious doubts about the execution of the agreement. In Lebanon, Hezbollah has, for the first time, launched surface-to-air missiles against invading Israeli aircraft.

[George W.] Bush, the President of the United States, has arrived in Europe; in Brussels, [the capital of Belgium], people have protested against him regarding the U.S. missile defense plan and also the U.S. withdrawal from the Kyoto Protocol, which remains unresolved.

Disagreement in Parliament has arisen due to the failure to align the vote count with the number of attendees, leading supporters of the Society of Militant Clergy to allege fraud by the Participation Front and the tampering of votes.
