A significant meeting with Mowlavi Abdul Hamid Ismail Zahi and his companions, accompanied by Baqer Kurd, the representative of Zahedan in the sixth parliament, to discuss and request the appointment of a representative of the Supreme Leader for Sunni affairs from among the Sunnis themselves.

The report from the police about the discovery of the murderer of women in Mashhad, as narrated by Hashemi. It should be noted that this murderer, named Saeed Hanaei, born in 1962, was executed at the age of 40 in Mashhad on April 17, 2002. He was a laborer living with his wife and two daughters and a son in a low-income area of Mashhad. Over the course of a year, Hanaei murdered 16 women and girls in Mashhad. The victims were aged between 18 and 50, and all were reported to have made a living through prostitution. His wife attributed the true reason for these crimes to a failed assault by a taxi driver on herself. The presiding judge in the initial court, Sheikh Mansouri, was reported years later to have committed suicide or been killed outside the country.

To inaugurate the "Demolition Forces in the Sacred Defense" conference, the first gathering of demolition warriors, I went to the Joint Staff of the IRGC, located at the newly established sports complex. Several thousand people had gathered. Mr. Rahim Safavi, [Commander of the IRGC], gave a report and welcomed the attendees. They then showed a documentary film of demolition operations during the war, and we listened to a recitation by [Zeynab Masoumi], the daughter of a martyr. I also gave a speech about the honors of the war and the important role of demolition in opening passages for the advance of forces, as well as their efforts in clearing contaminated areas, during which a total of 7.5 million landmines and shells and bombs were discovered and defused, and throughout the war, 800 paths with a length of 240 kilometers were opened.

In the afternoon, Mowlavi Abdul Hamid [Ismail Zahi], a scholar from Zahedan, along with several scholars and [Mr. Baqer Kurd], the representative of Zahedan, came. They sought to employ more Sunnis in important government positions and also requested the appointment of a representative of the Supreme Leader for Sunni affairs from among the Sunni scholars themselves. They mentioned that after the Reconstruction Era, no significant projects had commenced in Sistan and Baluchestan, and some of the ongoing projects had been delayed. They stated that due to the fatwas of Sunni scholars from Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan regarding the prohibition of opium, the Taliban had banned opium cultivation.
