Iffat has departed for Medina with some relatives for Umrah. I am alone at home and feel a sense of loneliness; perhaps this is a sign of aging.

Members of the organizing committee for the commemoration of 12,000 martyrs from West Azerbaijan visited. They requested that I go to Urmia for the ceremony. They provided explanations regarding the situation in the province, the commencement of the collection of landmines planted in border areas, and a new plan for border protection.

Mr. Reza Amirollahiy, Deputy Minister of Energy, came to discuss the performance of government officials compared to the Reconstruction era, expressing concern about the current situation and stating that the country's intellectuals believe that with your help, they can resolve the issues.

Mr. Seyyed Ali Khorram, the former ambassador to Geneva, visited. He stated that the country is currently facing challenges and opportunities both internally and externally. He offered recommendations for leveraging opportunities and appropriately addressing challenges, seeking consultation on employment in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Discernment Council, or the Secretariat of the Free Zones Supreme Council.

In the evening, a group of faculty members from the Theology and Islamic Knowledge Faculty at Islamic Azad University of Northern Tehran visited. They complained about the actions of the dean, who, supported by the family of the late Mehdi Haeri Tehrani, has expelled two professors on charges of being associated with the Hojjatiyeh Society and revoked the dean's powers, seeking assistance.

I was a guest at dinner with Seyyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, the head of the Judiciary. I provided remarks regarding the accusation of some individuals' children, including Mr. Qorbani Ali Durri Najafabadi and Mr. Morteza Maktadi, who defended themselves and indicated that there are signs that need to be addressed, and the public understands that the negative rumors are not accurate. The Karaj case, which had caused opposition among Hezbollah commanders, has been assigned to the IRGC, as they had not cooperated, thus avoiding conflicts with Hezbollah. Regarding the case of Shahram Jazayeri, whose public trial began today, he mentioned that this case exposes many figures from the reformist faction.

Last week, Messrs. Abbas Ali Alizadeh, the Head of the Tehran Judiciary, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, Head of the General Inspection Organization, and Abdolreza Izadpanah, Deputy for Social Affairs in the Judiciary, negotiated with Mr. Karroubi, the Speaker of the Majlis, regarding the 300 million Tomans that Jazayeri had given, to which he claimed it was for travel expenses to Lorestan Province.

It seems that it was because of these inquiries that the following day, they created that scene in the Majlis and stated that if selective actions are taken, they too will speak up. There was a request for IRIB to broadcast all the court proceedings. Regarding the pardon of Mr. Laghmanian, the representative from Hamadan, it was noted that although they have succeeded at this stage, this situation will not be replicable for them in the future, and the Judiciary will act decisively. The action for pardon was intended to prevent chaos on the eve of Jazayeri's trial. We discussed political conditions, factional disputes, and their dangers, but the conversation remained unfinished.

Today in Tokyo, a conference for aid to Afghanistan commenced, attended by 60 countries and 20 international organizations, with the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the European Union chairing the session and making commitments for aid. Yesterday, a U.S. military helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan, resulting in two fatalities and four injuries. In Ramallah, Palestinians attacked Israeli tanks with RPGs for the first time.
