Full Text of the Daily Notes:

I was at home. I studied about the Ahl al-Bayt in the Quran and the successes of the Sayyids in the Islamic world in preparation for the opening ceremony of the Unity Week congress. Mr. Hassan Ghafouri-Fard, a presidential candidate, called me to say that supporters of Mr. Ahmad Tavakoli had spread rumors that he had withdrawn. I said that the state media could issue a general denial. That night, it was denied in the 9 PM news.

Dr. Abdullah Jasbi, another presidential candidate, came to visit. He expressed his grievances against the right wing for not helping him and for, in some cases, undermining him. He specifically mentioned the Coalition Party and individuals such as Ali Akbar Nategh Nouri, Mohammad-Reza Bahonar, and Mohammad Jahromi, saying that this has caused him to permanently distance himself from the right wing. He intends to benefit from the widespread resources he has created after the election and stated that he has spent around 500 million tomans and has gone into debt. He believes he is the second after Mr. Seyed Mohammad Khatami, although public opinion polls do not support this.

The U.S. has sent the director of the CIA to the region to manage Palestinian issues. Previously, George Bush, the President of the United States, had announced that he did not intend to be as active in this matter as Bill Clinton, the former President, but it seems they have no choice. They may compel the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli government to take action, but it is unclear if they can control the Intifada.

Three days ago, while picking mulberries in the yard, I accidentally stepped on an ant nest. Many small ants bit me in several spots from my knee to my ankle, causing a distressing itching on my legs.
