Complete Daily Record:

I spent the entire day at home studying and preparing the memoirs from 1983 for publication.

Last night, the casualties among the Zionists due to a martyrdom operation carried out by a Palestinian fighter from the Al-Aqsa Brigades amounted to nine dead, with many others seriously injured. It was announced that this operation was in retaliation for the occupation of two Palestinian camps in Jenin and Nablus—specifically Balata—and it has intensified the fears of the Israelis and protests against [Ariel] Sharon, the Prime Minister of Israel. In the attack by Palestinians on two Israeli military bases, 11 Israelis were killed.

Gradually, voices of protest against Prince Abdullah's proposal are growing louder. Libya has announced that it will withdraw from the Arab League in protest against this proposal, and Amr Moussa, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, is heading to Libya for mediation.

The announcement of a shadow government in the U.S. has sparked significant protests. The White House states that after September 11, in light of potential threats, it decided to form a secret government led by Dick Cheney, the Vice President, along with 100 other American figures, to avoid a power vacuum should the current government be threatened. Since that time, Dick Cheney has been out of sight, and those involved have also operated covertly. Congress has deemed this action unlawful, and some believe this is an initiative by [George] Bush, the President of the United States, to portray a crisis in the country and gain public support for extraordinary and warlike actions.

The Speaker of the Indian Parliament has died in a helicopter incident, and clashes between Muslims and extremist Hindus continue sporadically, resulting in more than 400 casualties. An F-14 aircraft from the U.S. has crashed in the Mediterranean, with its pilot killed, and an American has died in eastern Afghanistan during a confrontation with opposing armed forces identified as belonging to al-Qaeda and the Taliban, with several others injured.

For the past few days, there have been clashes in the Paktia Province, four kilometers from the Pakistani border, with the area being bombarded. An explosion near a military base in Kandahar has instilled fear among the troops. The delivery of dangerous incendiary materials to the British Prime Minister's residence at Number 10 has also caught media attention.

At the Commonwealth nations' conference in Australia, numerous challenges arose regarding the treatment of Robert Mugabe, the President of Zimbabwe, and Pakistan's return did not receive votes.

Earthquakes have occurred in Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, with the latest being in Afghanistan. Relatives visited throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening.
