Mr. Amir Farshad Ebrahimi was a student of Tehran University in June 1999, when Ansar Hezbollah forces attacked the student dormitory of Tehran University in the university incident. At that time, he was considered one of the main members of Ansar Hezbollah, and in protest against this attack, he resigned from Ansar Hezbollah by sending a letter to the press and news agencies.

And by being among the wounded and injured students, he disclosed about Ansar Hezbollah and their affiliations to political factions.

In the famous statement of the Supreme National Security Council, he was introduced as one of the agents of the riots, and after enduring eight months of detention, he was temporarily released by the president.

After the release of Mrs. Shirin Ebadi and Mr. Mohsen Rahami, the lawyers of the injured university students, they also accepted his representation.

During the hearing of his complaint, these two lawyers prepared a video tape of his statements, which later prepared the preparations for his re-arrest and started a case that became known as the tape makers.

In this tape, Mr. Ebrahimi admitted to his past and the relationship of Ansar Hezbollah with some officials. For this reason, he was imprisoned for two years and spent 18 months in solitary confinement.

Also, two lawyers who had recorded his confession were also imprisoned.

In his confessions, it was revealed that due to the pressure groups' special relationship with the power centers, they are immune from prosecution and punishment, and they have the facilities that are provided to them by the government institutions as indicated by the higher authorities.
