The release of a video of Mona Heydari's husband spinning his wife's severed head in Kesai square in Khashayar area of ​​Ahvaz city had a wide reflection in domestic and foreign media and Iranian society.

 The murderer's mother (Sajad Heydari) stated that the reason for the murder was the stimulation of her son's jealousy and masculinity by those around her and said that after her son's wife fled from Iran, the people around her son "stimulated his jealousy and masculinity left and right".

 He said about the reason for turning the severed head of Ghazal (Muna) around: "Sajad turned the head of Ghazal in every neighborhood and street where he was labeled as unscrupulous, for example, to tell everyone: I am not a dishonest person."

  His killer finally received a suspension of prosecution by forgiving the victim's family, in cases of private dignity.  However, in terms of the general aspect of the crime, he has been sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison for premeditated murder, and in terms of the general aspect of intentional assault, he has been sentenced to 8 months in prison.
