Mehrab Ghasemkhani: I am sorry for this television/I am not ready to return to television

Author of satirical series in conversation with ISNA: Right now, I am not ready to return to television and work, but I am not talking about banning television. Television is ours, it belongs to the producers and the people, and it has never belonged to its managers. In all the years I was there, those chairs who told me what to do and what not to do from their backs changed many times and no one remembers their names... Banning TV does not harm the managers, because they don't care. The last people who may be upset are the same ones, and they are not worried about why the quality of the programs is decreasing, why the number of viewers is decreasing. They work only for certain viewers and they are paid by them and the satisfaction of that minority is important to them.
Television has a lot of capacity to attract the audience but I am sorry to lose this capacity, of course I am happy that the platforms have filled this space. As TV declines, it's kind of self-defeating, and that's good for the platforms.
