Some local residents on Qeshm Island have reported the smuggling of historical tombstones from the old cemeteries of Qeshm to museums in Qatar. They say that the old tombstones from the Dasht-e-Turian cemetery in Qeshm have been removed from the island and smuggled to the Gulf countries.
