 In a letter addressed to the President, the Director General of the Medical Council Organization, while congratulating the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and appreciating the actions and follow-ups of the Minister of Health and Medical Education regarding the tariff of medical services for the year 1404, expressed the challenges and concerns of the medical community.

In this letter, the head of the Medical Council Organization emphasized that the expert and minimal decision to increase tariffs, which was approved by the Supreme Council of Health Insurance, has been reduced by about 14 percent. This measure, which is similar to the practice of previous years, in addition to disrupting the provision of the necessary financial resources for the provision of health services, has put additional pressure on the medical community and medical centers.

 In this regard, the Director General of the Medical Council Organization has requested the following from the President:

1. Approval of tariffs for the year 2026 in accordance with the approvals of the Supreme Council of Health Insurance, with an emphasis on strengthening the professional component of tariffs;

2. Notification of tariffs before the beginning of next year, in order to prevent disruption in the provision of health services;

3. Paying special attention to the impact of the removal of the preferential currency on health expenditures and the provision of alternative sources for medicines, medical equipment and medical services;

4. Timely payment of medical community claims by insurance organizations, the delay in which has always caused serious problems in the provision of services;

5. The need to consider the real price of services in the non-governmental sector to strengthen the health system.

At the end of this letter, the Director General of the Medical Council Organization has asked the President to issue the necessary orders to provide appropriate conditions to support the medical community and improve the health system.
