U.S. Press Conference Summoned an Iranian

On August 31, 1921 (9th of Shahrivar 1300), the executive committee of the U.S. Press Congress sent an invitation to the Iranian embassy requesting an Iranian representative's presence—an indication that in the aftermath of World War I, Western press circles recognized Iran's role in global discourse.

On the same day, the Ministry of Culture requested that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs report the expenses of an Iranian student in Europe every three months; a small detail that reflects a nation working to structure its international relations and manage a new generation of students sent to Europe.
