The Battle of Chaldiran and the temporary occupation of Tabriz.

On September 7, 1514, corresponding to the 16th of Shahrivar 893, Ottoman forces under the command of Sultan Selim I entered Tabriz.

These forces had defeated Shah Ismail I's Safavid army at the Battle of Chaldiran on August 23, and Tabriz fell under Ottoman control for a short period.
