The crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and the closure of the stock market.

On September 3, 2025, Iran was in the midst of the Strait of Hormuz crisis. Following US and Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities , the strait was blocked by Iran . The Tehran Stock Exchange had been closed for the 80th consecutive day, and financial markets remained in a state of uncertainty .
