The beginning of the publication of the "Nasim-e Shomal" newspaper.

On September 9, 1907, the first issue of the newspaper "Nasim-e Shomal" (The North Wind) was published in Rasht under the management of Seyyed Ashraf al-Din Hosseini Gilani.
This publication, which had a literary, humorous, and critical nature, began its work less than nine months before the bombardment of the parliament by Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar (June 23, 1908), and quickly became one of the prominent voices of the constitutional press.
With its satirical and critical poems, "Nasim-e Shomal" both fought against domestic tyranny and paid attention to social issues, including the rights of women and children.
The publication of this newspaper continued for about two decades and was even published for a time after the death of its manager.
